Return Policy
⭐ TERMS & CONDITIONS
Montaime prioritizes quality control, working closely with manufacturers to meet high standards, especially for boutique, small-run physical media which may highlight defects more readily. When purchasing from Montaime, you understand that products, including analog and digital media (vinyl, cassette tapes, CDs, etc.) and merchandise (apparel, stickers, pins, etc.), are subject to the limitations of their manufacturing processes, some of which may be imperfect.

The only flawless product offered is lossless audio downloads available via Bandcamp or other distributors like Tidal and Beatport. Even digital media such as CDs might display imperfections from regular use. If you encounter issues with your lossless download, such as loss or corruption, contact us at contact@montai.me for assistance.

Please be aware that manufacturing issues beyond our control may arise, and Montaime reserves the right to handle refunds and returns on a case-by-case basis. We do not provide refunds or replacements for minor issues that do not affect playback, such as color variations in vinyl. However, significant defects affecting media playback (e.g., excessive noise, warping, deep scratches, or demagnetization of tapes) will be evaluated under our refund/replacement policies.

By purchasing, you agree to these terms, acknowledging the inherent imperfections of physical media while trusting Montaime’s discretion in addressing significant concerns.


⭐ REPLACEMENT POLICY
In the vast majority of cases, Montaime does not request an item to be returned for you to be offered a replacement. In the event your order qualifies, we provide the following options:

- Full replacement of all items ordered
- Partial refund & replacement (if certain items of your order are out of stock)
- Full refund (in the event all items ordered are out of stock)

We provide partial refunds & replacements if you’ve ordered multiple items in one order. For example, if you order a vinyl & cassette but the vinyl is out of stock, we can refund the price you paid for the vinyl but still provide the option to ship out your cassette.

If all items in your order are out of stock, the only replacement we can offer is a full refund (including shipping costs) on your order.


⭐ ADDRESS CHANGES
Ultimately, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure their address is correct prior to ordering from Montaime. Even if you haven’t ordered yet, check your Bandcamp address info NOW! Then, check it a second time but slowly. Incorrect addresses are one of the most common shipping mix-ups, slowing down sorting and making it unlikely your order will arrive. This will impact your ability to order & receive items from any Bandcamp account offering merch, not just Montaime.

When ordering any item that has a set future ship date (e.g. vinyl/cassette preorders), make sure that any address change requests are sent to us at least 7 days prior to that date. If an item is already shipping, contact us ASAP via Bandcamp’s contact form or contact@montai.me.

We offer a one-time courtesy replacement for new customers due to an incorrect shipping address on your order. If your address is incorrect on a future order and you don’t contact Montaime to request an address change (especially if you’ve ordered from us prior), your order will not qualify for replacement.


⭐ MISSING ORDERS
Missing orders constitutes items that have not arrived within 45 days of the marked ship date. If you believe your order is missing, contact us approximately 30 days after your order has shipped so we can initiate a search. While most orders arrive within 3 weeks, there’s instances where orders can be caught up in sorting facilities or customs. If a search turns up inconclusive, we will initiate a replacement for you.


⭐ DAMAGED ORDERS
If your order arrives damaged, reach out to us. We prefer you contact us via email at contact@montai.me, as we’ll need customers to attach an image of the damage & provide a description of what happened. Damaged orders include, but are not limited to significant folds/creases, deep scratches, anything that has been shattered/torn or water damage. Anything that impacts the use of the product substantially is something we can accommodate for. Depending on stock, we may provide individual replacement outer covers for vinyl.


⭐ ORDER CANCELLATIONS
Montaime can only honor order cancellations & provide a refund under certain circumstances, such as the terms listed above. In certain instances, we may be able to cancel your preorder & refund you the full cost. For example, if you change your mind we will honor the ability to cancel your preorder up to 5 business days after the item has been released for preorder on our store.

However, Montaime reserves the right to not replace your item for the following reasons. This is including, but not limited to:

- Items that have already shipped out, but are not damaged / missing
- Requesting a refund due to an incorrect address past the one-time courtesy mentioned above
- Changing your mind on an order that has already been purchased & has passed the 5 business day threshold for cancellations.


⭐ LIMIT ORDERS
In certain circumstances, Montaime may choose to limit orders on an item. For example, if we anticipate a high volume of orders, we may limit purchases on that item to 1 or 2 per customer. Customers who directly go against this (for example, you buy 3 vinyl on an item that is listed as 2 per customer) will have the remainder of their order refunded back to them.

Montaime reserves the right to blacklist customers from purchases in the event that repeat offenses occur. We may choose to contact you if you are ordering a huge amount (>10 units) from us even if there is no limit on orders. We take scalping seriously, and want to ensure that customers have the ability to purchase merch from us at a fair price. That being said, if you are a wholesaler / store owner and want to carry Montaime releases, please email us - contact@montai.me.


⭐ VAT & EU CUSTOMERS
Montaime offers the ability for to pay VAT at point of sale. We mark every EU order with a sticker that states the VAT has been paid so that your local post office doesn’t double-tax you.

While we do not have any power to contact post offices outside of the US, if you do encounter this situation, ask them to look for the IOSS sticker on the package indicating the VAT has already been paid.

⭐ REQUIRED CPF DETAILS FOR BRAZILIAN CUSTOMERS
As of July 24, 2023, Montaime strictly requires all Brazilian customers to provide their CPF Tax ID number when ordering. If you are ordering on behalf of a company, we’ll need your CNPJ instead. Please provide these details as a note on your Bandcamp order. those who do not provide a CPF on future orders will not be eligible for a refund.

Additionally due to a disruption of service, ETA to Brazil may swing wildly between several weeks to a couple of months. However, customers providing this information to us will help us ensure that orders will arrive with more reliability.
